Kiitos tästä! Satuin löytämään vintiltä tälläsen vanhan, Neuvostoliiton aikasen kameran ja oon pitkään jo miettiny että miten mahtaa toimia. Nyt pääsen kokeilemaan! : )

Just got a camera like that, but I have NO IDEA of how to use it... this was very very helpful, thank you so much! :) (lovely accent, by the way!)

Just got my hands on one of these cameras so this was very helpful, thank you! I'm taking it to a wedding this weekend which will be the first time I've used anything like this - wish me luck! Any top tips?

Your accent is charming!

I used a old wasted film and tryed it out. With my Agfa 44 it was 3 complete turns (360°) in the beginning, 2 1/2 complete turns in the middle and 2 turns in the end of the film. This is because the diameter of the secondary spool is increasing with the exposed film on it.

@therealbutnugget Hi, I use the sunny 16 rule :) When I think it is important, I use a DSLR as a light meter.

NEVER put a film roll on a table like that after tearing the glued securing paper strip as it's done here at 0:20 - 0:25 . There's a great risk that the wound film will loosen and be fogged/destroyed.
ALWAYS hold the "opened" film roll with some pressure with your fingers, before you load it in the camera. Cameras for roll film always have springy metal or plastic devices in the film chambers to keep the rolls wound tight.

@spajdude Absolutely true! Always keep the film tight!
Thanks for pointing that out.

do you know how to load the 35mm film?
priiimayhk 3 years ago
In order to use 35mm film you need to:
- Add some padding to each side of the spool, in order to keep it roughly in the middle
- Cover the frame counter window at the back and make it absolutely light proof
- Figure out how much to wind the film after each frame, I have no idea how to do that...
- Remeber to unload the film in total darkness, exactly the kind of thing I would forget...
