i have a pair, the were sold to me under the name purple acei but they are much darker looking then yours... could i have a different type or is it the lighting?

There are many types of acei - you may just have a different variant. These are the common 'yellow tail' acei from msuli.

The big male is 4" the smaller female is 3".
