WorkSnug is an Augmented Reality application for the iPhone 3GS. It connects mobile workers to the nearest and best places to work.

We've personally reviewed hundreds of places to work and offer personal observations, a guide to power provision, atmosphere, noise levels and even the quality of the coffee. WorkSnug launches in London first, San Francisco soon after and will spread across the globe during late 2009.

  • this is cool and could be applied to so many things other than workspaces.

  • I am testing this at the moment.. Works great in London.. Still waiting for more to review elsewhere.

  • I'm not sure about all the arguing going on in various comments, but I think this is a really neat idea, and a handy application, regardless of how it works. Like a more sophisticated version of the Wifi t-shirt.

This is certainly something I'd use, especially in a city I was unfamiliar with. Perhaps something similar rating hotels' internet availability would be handy, too?

  • Hmm, yes.

Can see where you're coming from.

  • It's really a Corporate reality. Of course it will end up favouring those nice little places to go which contribute to the service more perhaps than those that don't. Just like YouTube, it'll start off as something useful and gradually over time you'll find yourself in the audience at the X-Factor cheering on the latest manufactured non-entity and you won't have a clue how you got there! :)

  • wonder if one of the criteria is "number of other aspirational jerks who will see you using your iphone/macbook/whatever and think, wow, what a cool, together guy, i bet he must be important"

  • And the squeaking of wheels...

  • Oh! Well spotted. You should go on CSI.
