I know, in my opinion, he's way better on SNL and has already had a much longer run on SNL (currently in 2nd season) then he did on MadTV (1 season).

@animegal2686 that's what Taran Killam did, he was a Season 7 feature on Mad TV, now hes doing a big joining SNL in 2010, I think he's way funnier than Jeff Richards, check out Taran's Ashton impression lol

Reasons why Mad TV pretty much declined after season 11, from what I remember

longtime fav Stephnie Weir opted to leave the show after s10 but was convinced to stay midway thru S11 to provide some continuity as new members came in but ultimately left in Jan '06,

Mad TV budget was cut and studio moved causing budget issues which I believe affected the writing staff because you can tell the sketches/material was never as sharp

Frank Caliendo leaving too, huge loss
