How do you make your design maps smaller? or did you mod?

He didn't make it smaller, but instead used only a portion of the given space. In the first three AW games, a map edit can't be smaller than 20x30, but that doesn't mean you can't use only a portion of that space. Doing so will just mean that there'll be a lot of vacant space around it. It's hard to tell in the video just how much open sea/land there is, since the camera tends to center around the area of each army's HQ. In this case, both HQs are in the same general area.

If you want to change the size of your maps, check out Days of Ruin (Dark Conflict in Europe). In that game, maps can be anywhere from 5x5 to 30x30, and you can save up to 50 maps rather than just three maps.
