  • Why is the front knee moving whenever you twist your hips? Isn't this a basic mistake in kihon?

  • @christianbrecht I do not think this is a mistake. It works very well in combat. see my video "yoko geri kumite.

  • @fafatarbes : ossu no disrespect, I like your kicks and other kihon but for instance from 0:50 to 1:05 when you shift from hanmi to shomen, your front knee moves, I think the front knee should have negligible movement. Your hip twist seems to twist along the axis of the center of your body, whereas your hips must twist like a hinge based on the opposite hip, i.e., for a right gyaku zuki the right hip should rotate along the axis on the side of the left hip.
