Brutal Legend: Silence, groundwalker! Achievement Guide

there's a spark plug jump thing off of a log near there, so instead of going up the log i flew off the hill and almost landed in the water at the beach

I can't do this, for some reason whenever I go off this cliff my car explodes before it gets anywhere near the bottom like I wouldn't make it, not sure if its because of not having max car armor but still.
