This really captures it. "Top Gun" is movie music and not indicative of the emotional experience of non-combat flight in a high performance aircraft.

My dad's in the Air Force, but he's getting ready to retire. This video kinda makes me sad he is. Good luck doing your service in the Air Force as a pilot and God's speed. As they say in some of the Commercials on TV, No One Comes Close.

@40metalhead My father also worked with the T-38 in a way. He worked in quality control of the J85 engine at G.E. He and I were featured in a General Electric article titled "Dad builds 'em, son flies 'em." You could see the pride on both of our faces. He loves this vid, an he is, by the way, the person I made this for originally. But I'm glad this has reached a lot of folks liked yourselves.

...ok....I am sorry fo the misidentification of the "evidently" most supurb aircraft in the United States Air Force inventory! Evidently, you are a flyer and I am so sorry that you had to experence combat. congrats on your Air Medals btw.... I will keep your gallantry in mind whin my unit makes its next AEF rotation to Afganistan.... Sorry it has taken me so long to respond... Been busy. SSgt MEC
