  • wow, amazing to see WOMEN in the WOMENS gymnastics! Not just little girls with boy figures!

  • so nice to see graceful, beautiful moves by elegant gymnasts. Maybe our hard tumbling females of today should take a lesson and bring more femininity back to the sport...they even smile when they perform

  • Omg when girls could eat with out people saying they are too fat!

  • I see ENDO doing the floor excercise. He was one of the Japan's top gymnast that time., won numerous gold medals in 1964 Tokyo Olympic.

  • All of this talk about gymnastics "losing its art." It's not because of the gymnasts themselves, it's because of the Code of Points. People seem to handily forget that unlike ballet, for example, gymnastics is a sport, and thus the whole point is to perform ever better physical feats in order to defeat one's opponent. Naturally, the CoP accommodated this, and now even the more "artistically inclined" gymnasts must follow it if they want to win. I prefer modern gymnastics, but this is lovely.

  • @zaexira Yeah, and our tumbling males of today should take a lesson and bring more masculinity into the sport...they should grunt upon landing, adjust their packages, and tell entertaining stories to the audience about that girl they screwed in Vegas. Come on, don't be ridiculous. Athletes are athletes, if female athletes are supposed to smile prettily for the crowd then I think male athletes should perform in business suits.

  • Its also interesting to see that male gymnastics hasnt changed much compared to female gymnastics

  • elegant, i really wanna see those kind artistry combine with stunning acrobatic move in our era. Probably the perfect ten will be brougth again....heh...what a sense of hope .(

  • they don't have boy figures! being strong is not just for boys

  • Latynina was stunning....

  • the hair style back then was so cool and the skills and the elegance as well of course

  • The closeups got to me a bit.
