It is just bad grammar on her part because she should have said "I'm sure you are talking to republicans" not "I'm sure you talk to republicans"

I think she meant she was talking to republicans that are worried. Not that she is worried herself. "I'm sure you talk to republicans, who are worried as well, just like I am." That is why commas are used. If she had said it like "I'm sure you talk to republicans who are worried just like I am." then you would be right she does sound biased. However because of the pauses in her speech this can be rephrased as "I'm sure you talk to republicans just like I am, who are worried."
