sigh.. i have this problem now in my game.. some trees and some npc armor are purple.. its basically showing the normal map instead of the diffuse map for the texture.. i dunno y but thats wat's happening..

This happended in the first time i meet a dragon!....i thought that was a special dragon....

I agree, it is so anoying!
Suddenly everything is purple :-(
Hopefully they will make a patch which fixes this!

I have this same problem. It actually happened with my first dragon encounter (well second if you count the games beginning attack..) and I at first thought, "Huh, is that an ice dragon or something?" Then once it got closer I realized the texture was gone. Then started noticing it happening everywhere. Random NPC armor, tree's, etc.
This bug actually annoys me more than the periodic crashing to desktop because of how it snaps me out of any role playing feeling I was having lol

got the same problem, sometimes its the trees, or houses.
So far just restart the game to fix it!
Hopefully there will come a fix for this!
