I AM NOT A VIRTUOSO ...now that that's out of the way, this video is me playing Damage Control, the rythm in the top window and the lead in the bottom one. Petrucci's song is heard faintly as a backing track. I'll upload a version without this backing track shortly. (edit: I decided not to after all: my guitars are already loud enough compared to the backing track)

John uses a 24-frets guitar to play this song, and uses it's high range a lot during the solo; since I don't have a 24-frets, I skiped the solo part instead of making a mess of it. For the 24 frets part during the normal leads, I played it an octave lower and did pinch/artificial harmonics to reach the notes.

I am aware of the mistakes I made, but One can only squeeze so much free time between work and studies, so I only had an hour to record. Synching videos and audios is a nightmare, this is as good I could synch them before being fed up with it. Enjoy.

Thanks Anton Lidstrom & Charles Hall for a great tab of the song.
