Unusual New Orleans has such a high water table that most burials are done above ground in mausoleums. We visited St. Louis Cemetery No. 1, which dates back to the 1700's and is rich in New Orleans History. Voodoo Queen, Marie Laveau, rests here.

  • i just find it really scary, not scary like say watching a demon from a horror film but this other kind of scary..the one that makes you silent and leaves this depressing feel

i have seen people pick up demons from graveyards and then had to be exorcised

  • Actually, it was really beautiful with a positive energy flow. Some sections felt heavier with energy, but for the most part, these cemeteries are beautiful. Did not feel demons at all. Maybe .. one must be predisposed to accepting that energy .. I'm not sure and .. really don't want to know ! Thank you for your comment. Be blessed!

  • for some reason i like cementarys...i think its the fact that i live by one..mmm so peaceful

  • I cannot wait to see this cemetery...I'm going this summer. It just boggles my mind that there are over 300 bodies per square foot!!

  • Whenever you talk it creeps me out, your one creepy bitch.

  • @Briankey1960 I hadn't heard this before, but on listening more closely, there is definitely a deep voice saying something. I'm going to analyze it with Audacity to see if it can be isolated. There were no people around me; my friends were at the other end of the cemetery. And, this voice is def male. Thank you for pointing this out.

  • It depends on which tour guide or which reference you use as to where Marie Laveau is buried. Some say that both her and her daughter are in St Louis #1. Some say that there are two tombs that have her name on them but they don't know if either of them is her. There are several websites that say she is in a different cemetary with her second husband. It says that she tried to put all the VooDoo stuff behind her before she died and was buried only as "widow Glapion." I guess we'll never know.

  • Excellent video.
