Follow Actions

This a basic melodic creation using Live 5's follow actions.

Each time a loop is played, the track cycles to the one below it, when it reaches the bottom, it jumps back to the top. Only the top loop contains any actual midi info, all other loops are silent.

Since each track contains a different number of silent clips, the melodic pattern changes each time the tracks cycle through the clips. All tracks have their midi notes routed to the same simpler device.

Note that this is not a random or algorythmic creation, but one created entirely of repeating patterns, however complex they might be. As such, it is entirely possible to compose new, original material with this as a starting point. Such material is not simply a by-product of computational trickery, but very much the creation of it's author.
