The City Government of Koronadal is intensifying its campaign for the preservation and conservation of our environment. As a highlight for the celebration of the Environment Month, June 29 was declared as a Tree Growing Festival (TGF) in the city by virtue of a resolution. The program aims for a simultaneous planting of 100,000 forest and fruit trees in Roxas Mountain Range covering 300 hectares of land that will be participated by approximately 20,000 constituents. Planted trees will be nurtured and monitored regularly to ensure growth.

A commitment to nurture and take care of the trees planted will be strengthened through the signing of a Memorandum of Agreement between the City Government and the Landowners during the event. To ensure the sustainability of the program, employees of the City Government take the lead in the program implementation with the active involvement of the community.
