A song by Charles Trenet, covered by the german chanson group "Sibylle&Freunde"

There had been a great enthusiasm for french chansons in the eighties. In those years the german singer Sibylle and I played a lot of them. Often together with double bass and violoncello.
In this recording I play mandolin. That was the very first and very last time I played this instrument and I had only two weeks to learn the part. That was a lot of fun and a lot of blood at my fingers ;-)
I had to restore this recording from a more than 20 year old copy of the original studio tape.
That was fun too. But I love this recording anyhow. I hope you also will like it a bit.

Sibylle and I also recorded songs by the romantic composer Gabriel Fauré.
