  • Why do people keep complaining about the sound? Do they think the original Dolby Digital HD recording got lost back in the 30's?

Plus an interesting thing about this movie is that much of it is shot as if it were a silent film, a remnant of the previous decade...

  • A bridal veil and silky undies: pretty racy stuff for 1932!

  • a great movie, all squeezed into one pixel.

  • Poor sound with these old films is par for the course.

It's like complaining of the pops and hiss of old Edison phonograph recordings.

You would feel robbed if the imperfections were NOT there.

    Thanks for uploading this!

  • @estefez I have a friend who won't watch old black and white movies for similar reasons, a totally superficial approach to the movies. Good acting and brilliant script writing are all it takes, colour and audio are merely a means to an end which can be achieved on their own.

  • I like the effect of the closed-up eyes becoming lights in the dark, and then of Lugosi's eyes, and of her eyes wide open, very dramatic, theatrical; also, the shot of the zombies coming down the silouetted hill, like ants in the distance, very scary; these directors had few technical resources at their disposal but sure knew how to use a cammera to its maximum effect

  • Please check out a music vid I've made to this classic film - it's on my channel.

  • This movie is great, the sound is awesome... listen at 11:06-13:13... its insane!

  • Happy Birthday Jeff

  • Fun to see the character of Neil go from a wimpy potential cuckhold to a hero by the end of the movie
