  • I don't know what a "cold start" is, but this thing spewed exhaust like this for at least 15 minutes!

  • @arthureugenepreston looks like water

  • Looks like it is idling like the English Electrics with the load - freerun - load - freerun and the white smoke billowing out, sounds cool though.

  • I think it may have been sitting and moisture plus oil gathered up and when it started this happened

  • bad injector or a tubro charger

  • Thats water vapor. Water is a buy product of combustion. Its the black carbon smoke thats really bad!

  • That thing's got a Firewire connector on it?

  • @DigitalLonestarX4600 It looks like its cold there, and you should let the engine warm up before you rev up the engine because you could do damage to the engine if you rev it up as soon as you start it.

  • Correct me if I'm wrong, but this unit may have a bad head gasket, or the air is vary cold???????????????

  • That is one of the worst bits of videoing I have seen.

Please learn to use a camera without making the viewers sick.

  • I've been around EMD's for around 30 years. This isn't too uncommon for one with many miles on it. When they are in yard service they get build up from not getting to work as hard. It just needs a good cleaning out and a tune-up. It'll be fine. Worst case scenario it may have a bad seal in the engine or a bad injector.
