God I love Sansui receivers, they look great, feel like quality, last almost forever, are underrated and the sound speaks for itself! Very nice system you have there, take care of it, add to it, get some decent vinyl and keep embarrassing your friends...

WOW! That Big Silver Receiver Looks Real Sexy With Those Big Round Silver Dials And Big VU Meters, I Bet It Sounds SWEET! Ans A Teac Reel To Reel It Don't Get Much Better

Don't mean to sound insulting or anything like that, but have you considered finding ways to give the receiver adequate ventilation on the top?
Having the turntable on top can't be good for the receiver in the long term. Any way you can put the turntable elsewhere or put stilts on the turntable feet to elevate it above the receiver?

@Mr6292 Oh! Cool! I think I would have preferred hearing Peter Sellers, :) I used to collect, but I am currently down to one system, and it's not great cosmetically, but awesome sounding. Most of it's gear I've had for many years. I'm hoping to start picking up a few choice pieces next year. Well, once you've settled from your move, perhaps you'll assemble some of your other components and upload some more video? Cheers!

That's a very 70's type system you've got, hence, better than the new stuff out there. Nice shape too. But for the love of cake! Get some decent vinyl! :) My recommendation; get the audiophile re-issue of Pink Floyd's Dark Side of the Moon, (hell, even the original issue will sound good), and dub to tape, sans Dolby. You'll be amazed! Seriously, nice system. Brand new in the 70's it would have set you back about $1,000.00 to $1200.00 for everything, depending on what you could find on sale.

@stratocat9999 Hi, I have quite a few amp / receiver / speaker combinations, but I had just moved house and most of my stuff at the time, including all my vinyl, was in storage. The 'Boney-M' disc is a promo copy, (white blank labels) which I bought in a charity shop, along with a copy of 'Goodness Gracious Me', with Peter Sellers and Sophia Loren, so it was the only vinyl I had here. I do take your point about better vinyl and I never use the Dolby facility on the tape deck either. Cheers
