This is Roger Gonzalez, 3rd dan. He is one of our senior students in the dojo. Our dojo is affliated with the United States Aikido Federation under the auspices of Yoshimitsu Yamada Sensei.

Why don't more Aikido schools put an emphisis on atemi? Honestly I think it's an important part of Aikido. Hopefully the dojo i'm gonna go to will have some atemi instruction. Its a Yoshinkan dojo so I'm sure it will have some, probly a little more than usual. (heard Yoshinkan is a little more "agressive" or "hard".
