This week in.....China: Shanghai & Beijing - in a flash!

Well, in a week to be exact - but such are the overwhelming scales of both of these mega-cities, that even a week can go in a flash & you can leave thinking you have done nothing more than scrape the surface of this incredible country. Beijing day trip? I think the minimum needed for this place is a week! Shame I had to leave so soon! The Brompton folding bike, yet again became the indispensible travellers tool it has become known for - an an overnight train from Shanghai to Beijing, it simply slipped under the bed. And all our luggage for the trip? In the Brompton bag of course. This trip was historic - the first truly Brompton only itinerary. We arrived at Shanghai airport, grabbed the bikes off the luggage belt, unfolded them and off we went - as easy as that. Ultimate freedom. Ultimate fun.
