@TopsyKritz Which is, at the very least, inspired by Lovecraft. I have seen it and I think I have read the book sometime during my plunge into his collected works.

You're thinking of At the Mountains of Madness by H.P Lovecraft which is a whole Book(possibly a movie soon-ish.) In the Mouth of Madness is a film by John Carpenter.
