almost like 128bit i.p security, and MAC. address

ATM cards contain a hash on the magnetic strip.

so finally "data" + "Encypted Hash" + "Public key " is sent on the network ?
I think Public key is sent inside a "Digital Certificate".Can you add a video for digital certificate also.

Great Job... Thanks.

is the hash encryption asymmetric, by a PKI? would the sender encrypt with a public key and the recipient use a private key to decrypt, i.e. reverse of digital signature?

i purchased your book because of this video.. it's too bad you don't have more videos because your voice is very engaging and not monotonous. I learned a lot more and didn't daydream. :)

Thanks for the info i will definitely take a look at the book, I am getting ready to take my Security certification test. I noticed you are using a certain program in the video to encrypt and decrepit data, as pat of your examples, may i ask what is the name of the program.
Thanks

Excellent video, is the book available on Amazon? And also i was wondering what's the name of the program you are using in the video?
Thanks
A hash algorithm is a one-way function that creates a number (a hash). It isn't considered symmetric or asymmetric; it doesn't use a key. Hashing is used with a digital signature, but it's best to understand the basic function of a hash first. In it's simplest form, a hash is simply a number.

Thanks. Yes the book is available on Amazon, and audio portions of the book are also available at sy0-201.com. The videos were created with Camtasia.
