Waterside Series Canoe Race B at Aldermaston Wharf

The Waterside Series of Marathon Races comprises of four races held on the Kennet and Avon Canal in the Spring. They are organised by Newbury Canoe Club. Race B is from Newbury to Aldermaston Wharf and back, the 2009 race took place on 01/Mar/2009.

Living right at the canal I had an excellent view of the action in Aldermaston Wharf, with the canoes arriving, being taken out of the water for portage and returning to start the return leg. Unfortunately I only found out about the race on the day, so I had to improvise a bit for some quick capture.

Later on I jogged up the canal for some further footage of the canoes on their way near Fronds Bridge between Aldermaston Wharf and Woolhampton
