  • I think the point of this vid is that it's a cheap/quick way to build (assemble) a guitar wall hanger if you want to do it as a little fun project. obviously it probably isn't the best way to secure your $2500 Les Paul, but it's a cool way to put some of your guitars on the wall and say you did it yourself.

  • This guy reminds me of Napoleon Dynamite :p

  • @zwendkos yeh but if you have a $2500 Les Paul..... i don't think you will be making your own. You could probably afford a real one :/

  • Wall plug into wall and that funny fork into it. simplier. Well, w/o wall plug walls gonna crush. This isn't secure at all.

  • A better method is to drill two holes at 45 degrees into the block and glue in some hardwood dowell. then in the middle drill a hole large enough to allow one heavy duty screw to turn loosely. Mount the hanger in a suitable position and when you put your guitar on it the holder will turn to compensate for the neck and the guitar will hang vertically. Works well with electrics where the head stock starts in two different positions . Less than $5 as well.!!

  • you would be better using a magnet and finding the wall studs instead of using those drywall anchors. trust me an accoustic might weigh about the same as a postage stamp but if you are talking about a les paul or even heavier a bass expect it to come right off because they are not a strong mount designed for that kind of tension. better still use a case...

  • For the part regarding drilling with 2 types of bits. Its called countersinking

  • This video is just stupid. The guy sais that it costs you $5 to build this. A brand new wall hanger costs exactly $5...And you don't have to do the extra work.

  • @vish11firefly YouTube twilight zone...

  • The video and the idea is all cool, but I'm wondering, how the hell did I arrive here? I think was watching Pink Floyd - Live in Pompeii. But how the hell am I here? :|

  • Guitars dont belong on the wall! :|

  • Well if you screw into a stud it would be perfect :)
