Mothercare tracking me

earlier today my wife brought our 1 year old a hat but it didnt suit him, so i returned it for an exchange.
They asked me for my name postcode & address!
when i questioned why they told me they will be using the information to track me =S i refused to comply..
i filmed it + Subs........

this makes you question the motives of why our every move is being tracked?
there's no Law saying i have to give them my details, but there are Laws saying they have to refund or exchange my purchase.
also i felt they were relying on my compliance in order to get my personal details..when we brought the hat they didnt ask for details.
at 1 point in the vid the Manager even try's to reassure ME that i dont have to give my details
like i was gonna any ways ffs!
always question WHY? & always say NO

I think that unless you asked these people for their permission, you should remove this video, why on earth were you videoing it anyway? Oh, maybe you don't think shop staff deserve any respect. Becasue that was disrespectful

you're getting annoyed for a member of staff doing there job, whinging about personal information yet your happily filming someone without their permission which is ILLEGAL! duh! what if they found out? they can happily sue you! nd oh dear then you would have to give out your name nd adress nd postcode how would you cope then! so ye mate stop filming random ppl without their permission its well creepy nd pervy.

What an idiot. There is NO law which says they have to refund or exchange if it doesn't fit. It's entirely up to the company so they can ask for your details if they want.

Basically you are a paranoid tosser.

Oh and nor is it illegal to film someone without their permission.

i can understand why they asked i work for a big retail company, and we had a doll returned to the shop with a needle in side it!!! . And the male in this clip just makes himself look silly by being a pain, and holding up the que for other customers. i hope people see how staff are treated would u like to spoken to like that????

Hey! I work for mothercare lol, first of all I completely agree with you, but listen you dont HAVE to give your postcode at all! We dont track you lol we just have to comply to the business but it comes in handy when you get people who return stuff VERY REGULARLY to see theres obviously something fishy so by keeping their details we can "track" them. All you have to do is say no and then we can enter customer declined on the system! they probably wern't trained well!
