Yet another epic Al Pacino gangster movie. A Puerto Rican ex-con pledges to stay away from his former drug dealing ways but finds himself being dragged back by his past connections and the naive machinations of his lawyer and best friend. Hoping to raise enough money to get away from New York, Carlito Brigante takes on the job of running a nightclub, renews an affair with a dancer but old associates and old instincts suck him back into a world of violence and mistrust.

Watched CW over the weekend and it blew me away as it did when I first saw it in 1993 (keep in mind I was only 10 years old!). Pacino is just BRILLIANT! This is the movie that made Pacino at the top of my 'Best Actors' list.The entire movie is brilliant! I never want it to end every time I re-watch. Also keep hoping Carlito will magically not die in the end although of course he will :( Looking forward to re-watching CW sometime this week :)

The second Carlito's way sucked ass, it didn't even follow the storyline.

Carlito's Way is trash. But it's great trash. I love the part near the end when the mafia guys are chasing him down the street.

One of the greatest films of all time, underrated. Al Pacino the greatest actor ever gives yet another astonishing performances as Carlito Brigante. Sean Penn is perfectly casted as Kleinfeld. This film got me hooked from start to finish and is now one of my all time favourites. Spectacular.
