  • She was before my time, but I can see why she was so popular. Beautiful lady with a beautiful voice.

  • My kind of femine ideal of voice. Nobody can be beautiful enough for this voice, although she was just as beautiful as an angel.

  • Doris Day, love her voice.

  • One of my favorites of the many of Doris Day songs.

  • @trashcanalive lovely! there would *have* to be singing & swaying too... :D

  • @s1ndydoll I'm in the UK too, we should cosy up and have a Doris Day night with popcorn! x

  • @trashcanalive :D I'm in the UK & one of the channels has just screened a Doris-fest on loop. 2 doco, one of her specials... brilliant. I have a list of films to watch - Calamity Jane has always been one of my favourites, & I absolutely adore all those 50s number with Rock & co... the costume, the colour, the dialogue. Fantastic. It is very evocative of a certain time... & I don't know it just triggers childhood memories of being enraptured by the look...

I think I will go for Teacher's Pet!

  • @s1ndydoll Total dreamland! I came here after watching The Man Who Knew Too Much and I don't mind admitting to being in tears at the end when she sings Che Sera Sera.
