build quality of Open Pandora

The build quality of Pandora case/housing is not good, but you have to understand this is a limited quantity a prototype product, do not expect a DS, PSP, CAANOO or DINGOO quality with this system, sorry for my poor english

Excellent video, and your english is brilliant, TOTALLY agree the Pandora is very poor build quality, what do you expect with a self centred nob head like Craig X at the helm.

Thanks for the video, I must disagree with 2 things, the build quality for a device of this type is absolutely top notch, you need to very slightly tighten up the screws on the back/bottom if yours is creaky, sure its not as perfect as the PSP or DS but thats not what we bought, The screen is not bent, the case is very slightly uneven. also Mario 64 and a few other games are working full speed. 100% of my 41 PSX games work and at full speed you should be using PCSX Rearmed R8(850MHZ)

How can you possibly be dissapointed with the Pandora? The build quality doesn't look great, but is really really sturdy. It has a full keyboard + Gaming controls. Running on an overclockable, overvoltable OMAP processor, with a full linux desktop. To put all that to maximum use: IT'S OPEN FREAKING SOURCE!!! You can do whatever you want with it, no restrictions and bullshit.

Not to mention the awesome community that it has.

@ENGLANDTHEGREATEST the Pandora was made for the consumer in mind, but they have limited resources the point of the OpenPandora project was to make an open source portable gaming console which they succeeded with. If Craig was a "self centered nob head" he wouldn't have an amazing team or have shared his product with the world.

Its not a big deal. Honestly, the plastic does feel a bit cheap. But I really dont care, and once you use it for a while you realize its an amazing device and you wont want to leave it ever.

Its portable, it is fun, it has good battery life, it has a full Linux on it. Just love it and dont drop it.

Personally I think the Pandora has solid build quality, in fact I think it's better and nicer to hold than the first model NDS.

I used to be just like you, but when you use the pandora for a while you'll see that the case doesn't matter. For me it's awesome, it's small, it's powerfull, it's linux. And after all the case issue can be fixed.
