Unfortunately, japhouze, you can't like Ingrid Michaelson. According to your logic, anyone who is not european cannot feel this song.  Well Ingrid is American, and not european. So by your logic, because you are not American, you cannot "feel" Ingrid. You lose.

Michaelson conveys more emotion than some people can fathom in this cover. You can feel it in her body language and her voice especially during the end of the song.

Wow!! That is amazing! She sang this last night at the holiday hop and she was talking about how she gets unsure whether to drop the F bomb or not during the song just in case there's kids in the audience. So she didn't say it. But I LOVE this cover!! Her high notes give me the chills and she shows soo much emotion during the song, especially at the end of it!
