  • To say that Muslims shouldn't be divided is partly true, since we need to be united upon the Qur'an and the Sunnah of the prophet 'alayhis-salam.

However, our prophet 'alayhis-salatu was-salam said: "The Christians will divide into 71 sects, the Jews into 72 sects, and the Muslims into 73 sects. All but one will go to the Fire."

It was asked which sect this was, whereupon the prophet salla Allahu 'alayhi wa sallam answered: "That which I and my companions are upon".

  • so, unite in the way of the prophet and his companions :)

  • MashAllah, nice, its so beautiful, this mosque is 800 years old!

  • I know, it was such a beautiful place, one of my favorite mosques that I've visited, and this muezzin was one of the best I've heard... his voice echoes through the entire city and it's gorgeous.

  • To clarify any confusion that you ignorant ones may have.. This is Herat's main mosque. It is a sunni mosque; about 80% of Heratis are sunni. Shia azan is different than this (sunni) one. Shias have their own small mosques with different azan.
