I've been on a day hike in my favorite woodland. Now is the autumn and everything is amazing, the colours, sounds, wildlife. Made a small warm fire, coffee and enjoyed my time. I used quartz and steel method with my new striker that i forged and my first tindertube, worked well. I also made a few pics of flora and fauna. Enjoy and thanks for watching!

  • Question, after you lit the tindertube. you transfered it to a what?..piece of tinderfungus??, btw nice of you to show how to clean up camp..a good woodsman leaves no trace :)

  • @bbroegger Yes mate. It is a tinder fungus. It's called the amadou, it's the inner layer of Horse's hoof fungus (Fomes fomentarius).

Thanks for the compliment, that's the rule everyone should follow.

  • It was nice to see that you cleaned up you didn't just leave a fire mess there for others to see.

  • this is the sort of thing i would love to do. But not on my own at night!! that must be great ,

just to listen to the surroundings , Thanks. Great to watch.

  • I simply love your videos! So peaceful and restful - just the kind of days I like to spend in the woods. I appreciate the plant identification and would like to see more about the trees. I especially like the way you put out your fire and hide the evidence. I hope to see more of your adventures soon. Al in Sharon, Massachusetts, USA.

  • Linked to you through gozdovnik 's channel. It is really nice to see you guys and your forests. Hopefully we can see a video soon of the two of you guys doing some exploring some weekend. I happily subscribed to your channel. Take care, friend, and remember that all of us who share a love for days spent like this have much in common. Your video's are compelling in sharing this view. Thank you.
