Very nice version of the tune. There is another very interesting version that is essentiall all double stops by someone called that thar jonesy (or something like that) he plays it on the mando but I think it would sound great on the fiddle as well. Nice new axe!!

Hey! I may post my cross tuned version of this tune sometime soon. I got a lot of conventions and fiddle stuff going on right now. Midnight on the Water, I usually just tune the e down to a d and I don't play on the g string, when I'm at a jam. But if I'm sittin' at home I'll tune it ddad. =D

This one is done in standard tuning. I have another version that's cross tuned to aeac#, but I play this version when I'm at a jam session.
