I can't watch a movie with the possibility of Seth Rogen having his heart broken.

My opinion, the moral of the movie is old things were once new and new things will one time be old, therefore we should be content with our spouses. People should not leave their spouses for the thrill/rush of meeting someone new, because that new person will one day be old, we can't keep running whenever our relationships get old. Just like the lady in the movie, when she left she was initially happy with the new guy but after a while she ended up exactly where she was with the old husband.

I have many very good friends that are female. We visit places, spend days together, do stuff. No benefits. No need to love drama, why not just be really good friends?

After watching this, I couldn't stop thinking how Blue Valentine looks like a friggin' romcom next to this.

Good movie though. Just... be ready.

In the original script there's a bit where Margot asks Daniel did he ever have a threesome and she's talking about how she feels she never got the chance to experience things like that before settling down. I think that should have been explained better in the film.

I can not agree more with you- it isn't about relationships with other people- it is about understanding one's own-self

her husband seemed more interested in chicken than her- seriously just because the second guy wasn't ideal doesn't mean the husband was.

she just needed more time to herself and discovering what she wanted from life; instead, she tried to find comfort and peace in others which of course wasn't much of use.

Many people believe that a person who has multiple loves can't give their "whole heart" to any person. This is based on the "starvation model" of love--you only have a limited amount of love, and if you give your love to one person, there is none left to give to anyone else. Don't think of the contents of your heart the way you think of the contents of your wallet; it doesn't work like that.
