  • So you're building the exact same computer as I am... the K9A2 board is bad ass I love it, I'm getting another one (my old K9A2 is being sold to a friend). But yeah I'm getting the 1200, that case the PSU and same CPU (RAM is different though). Not bad, our computer may be the same though... only diff I could see is that I'm water cooling mine with the Cooler Master Aquagate Max, and getting a 24" Asus monitor with a 42" plasma for a t.v. set up addition. :D

  • Very nice, have you worked with the antec 1200 before?

  • Build has been revised: Vid's of build will be available by 12/25 with detailed cable management: Subscribe! 28" Hanns-G LCD Monitor 2ms (1920 x 1200) LG 22x DVD Burner Asus Sata DVD ROM Western Digital 640gb (7200rpm 3.0g Sata) MSI K9A2 Platinum AM2+/AM2 AMD 790FX ATX MOBO Sapphire HD4870x2 2GB 512-bit Video Card OCZ Reaper 4gb (1066) Antec Twelve Hundred Case Antec 850w Modular PSU AMD Phenom 9950BE 2.6Ghz - Will OC to 3.2ghz Zerotherm Nirvana CPU Cooler Windows Vista 64bit
  • Nice. I am getting the below rig...similar MB and CPU. I am a bit worried about the PSU..will it be enough? Antec P182 ATX Mid Tower Western Digital Caviar 640GB 150GB SATA HDD Acer 24" ASUS M3A79-T Deluxe CORSAIR CMPSU-750TX 750W x2 CORSAIR DOMINATOR 4GB Thermaltake SpinQ Heatsink SAPPHIRE Radeon HD 4870 AMD Phenom 9950BE 2 DVD BURNERS (1 External USB LightScribe - 1 Internal Sata)
  • the Corsair 750w will be plenty for that rig. You've got a nice system there aswell. Enjoy!

  • might I add a suggestion? Don't get the 1 gig graphic's card, get the 512mb. I'll find the link, but fps actually gets hindered by too much "seek" time, since it's so much space to grab bits from. Smaller, (though, not always)is sometimes better.

  • I've read dozens of reviews and viewed several benchmark tests between the 1gig and 512mb cards. It seems with the ddr5 the double density of the 1gb vs the 512 card does provide better results in high resolution scenario's. That is why I've settled on the 1gb card.
