Classical Gas - Part I

This is my first posting, so please be gentle with me. I'm learning to play guitar & this is my progress on this piece. You'll probably know this tune get's harder, so I want to get this bit right before progressing any further.

I'm a learner, and I know I have far to go, so criticism is welcome, but please try & keep it constructive - Some spotty kid telling me they can play it better with their teeth really won't help much - and if that's you, you'd better have a video of you playing it better with your teeth!

It didn't harm Jimi's guitars - not so much as his other stage antics anyway. I shouldn't smoke, period. I'm guessing it harms me more than the guitar.

I promise to quit if my guitar develops a smokers' cough ;)

Nice one!, Ibanez's do rock. I own one myself, doubt I'll ever move away from the Ibanez guitars. You did good... Maybe cover the whole song next time?

i don't know why you posted this since you're just learning it. this song took me forever to learn but it is definitely the most rewarding piece i can play. keep practicing because once you have it down this song is cake and people love it.

Just learning? Are you sure? That sounds pretty friggin' good for some one just learning.. And there are no kids anywhere out there that can play better with their teeth! LOL

1) Smoking is bad for your health.

2) It's not bad, we all have to start somewhere. But for the next time, try and get the audio quality a little better. This was awfully soft.

Thanks for the encouragement, and the comment on the guitar. Ibanez guitars do rock, the gold graphics are my own work. I'd truly love a jem, but it's out of my league financially - and I'd feel unworthy unless I could play like Vai!
