  • Wonderful, hats off to these punks if at all these are really children of punjsbi parents and do not known what is their mother tounge. If one would check the data or forms submitted by these clones for their ID cards or colleges or schools admission forms would clearly show that in mother tounge column "urdu" is either written or ticked. If these misfits of nation do not know what is their mother tounge, do not think that their knowledge or argument can be even given any heed or value. shame.

  • Punjabi is taught in colleges and universities in India. If it isn't taught in Pakistan then this is the fault of the ruling elite in that country not an indication of a deficit in the language. In many ways, Pakistani Punjabis have been generous to such an extent that they would rather betray their mother to play in the lap of a step-mother.

  • It is time for Punjab (Pakistan) to recognize the language of the majority and end the discrimination against the language. Punjabi should receive official recognition and be used in Provincial Assembly of Punjab, government services and in education. Once this is implemented, then the ignorant views displayed by the moron in this video will go away just as darkness goes away with light.

  • Many Punjabi Pakistanis abandoned their language in favour of Urdu and among the elite English. However, what they failed to recognize is that abandoning their language, they in fact have lost their roots. Without strong roots, a person has nowhere to stand.

  • The guy who is making the negative remarks against Punjabi language is obviously ignorant. What is more surprising is that he is proud of his ignorance and the audience finds it funny to mock the language spoken by the majority of the population (over 55%) in Pakistan. Quite disgraceful!

In India, Punjabi is the mother tongue of less than 3% of the population but it has gained a strong literary tradition. Punjabi has a rich history but it is a shame that Pakistani Punjabis are unaware of this.

  • Proud to be Punjabi. Love Punjab Punjabi Punjabyat

  • Punjabi language is the best !

  • @spacekangaroo You are 100% right. There is this unprovoked negative stigmatization towards Punjabi language and by extension Punjabi culture, and people. The Punjabi language is a beautiful language that is entrenched in our fertile land and shared history. I'm not from Pakistan, but I hope this unwarranted disrespect end and the Punjabi people of Pakistan standup against any draconian laws against Punjabi!
