Dr Simon Jones 3D for Educational Podcasts (HD, 3D, S3D)

For many years the Higher Colleges of Technology has been a leader been at the forefront in the use of technology and adapting 3D technology to learning. We have a new opportunity to take learning off the page and engage student in a medium they understand and love. We think there are three reasons why 3D learning is going to be attractive to our students. The first simply is novelty but we can use this to engage them in the learning. Second is anticipation that 3D viewing will become an important element of peoples viewing habits. Thirdly some topics and subjects in particular will be best suited where dimensions and masses are important.
