Edit: For you "experts" out there. It's on a tilting mount and this is exactly where he wanted it. I'm sure if you sit 2 feet from your TV, then yes, this would be too high to mount.

A couple of friends and I mounting a large TV and installing home theater equipment. This video does not include any of the wire runs we did for the surround sound speakers, or HDMI cables through the wall up to the TV. My friend has not yet had an outlet installed in this area yet so the TV power cable is still showing when we are done. It was an 8 hour job total. This is about the last 2 hours of it sped up to 500%.

Panasonic 65" S1
Panamax Power Filter
Sanus tilting wall mount (Capable up to 84")
Pioneer Elite receiver
Vienna Acoustic speakers
Xbox 360 Elite
Playstation 3

Background music: Chemical Taint

(I don't remember all of the specific model numbers and it's all at a friends house, so please don't inquire about them)

  • Too high

  • I was about to turn off but then a pretty girl walked in

  • FAIL.....You cant do all that damn work and leave the power cord outside the wall....WOW. Just fish the damn thing down....PLEASE!

  • @gib88son How is putting the power cable in the wall a fire hazard?? I'm an installer and it's perfectly safe to do so. Has to be said though. Tilt mount or not, the TV is way too high. Would look better a good couple of feet lower

  • OMG TOOOOOO HIGH

  • @PrfctNobody putting the power cord in the wall is a huge fire hazard. could easily have just installed a power bridge though

  • Couple mistakes.

Wall mount is WAYYYY too high, you'll notice after a couple weeks when your neck starts hurting.

Power chord could have at least went into the wall with the other cables then run an extension chord to your power conditioner.

Make sure the mount is the right size BEFORE mounting it to the wall.

Decent job for a first time install, but could have been much better and less time consuming.

    GREAT choice on components though

  • You guys gonna be standing while watching TV cus its mounted kinda high?

  • the fruit in the grey shirt looks and is a faggot
