John powell, director of the Kirwan Institute for the Study of Race and Ethnicity says the recovery money from the stimulus needs to be examined as to who it is reaching. Professor powell also talks about housing policies, the extreme racial aspect of society's structural organization and Detroit and its broken school system.

  • Luilun, thanks for your expert analysis. Only problem is that its not really true and shows a typical distanced view and sense of entitlement. To the extent that it is true, it reflects the types of structural discrimination that Powell is talking about; an adaptation to neglect and isolation, socially, geographically, politically, and economically.

  • Compainies don't like to hire Blacks. Their not competive their just plain lazy. They daydream all day of playing in the NBA than doing their work. I have worked with Blacks in the Military, Military bases, and the Railroad and 99% are lazy all they want to do is talk NBA and NFL all day with being productive. They can only get jobs in Goverment cause goverment is forced to hire them
