SPOILER DAMNIT!
I realize this is a 2008 video, but you probably would have had a slightly easier time if you did this in Retry mode. From beginning to a good point before the end of the game, you can hit level 99 with some grinding and no real issue. Plus in retry mode, with the broken leveling, you might even have a chance to get Gades's sword by beating him early on in the game, which would prob help a ton too.

@r0wan323 yea its real u also fight him in the third game
-
@verisimilitudino yeah
-
@brian110487 Now that's epic!
-
you use the strongest healing move on him and because he has max health it resets to zero then one hit and hes down that easy ive beat him twice know working on my third
-
okay if you dont call it advice it helps you in the game and it does work
-
More difficult than those rap- I mean monsters you find in the Ancient Cave? Gold Dragons and whatnot? The kind that rape your party for 8 attacks apiece? More difficult than that? Really?
did you know that if you use a healing spell such as valor strong or stronger on him then attack him once he dies in one hit? just some advice for you rpg gamers out there

That's not advice. That's exploiting a game flaw.

Wow. Incredible. What do the Egg Sword and Rings do?
I'm sure it's a game breaker, whatever it does.
Also, i saw a vid where it was killed by being healed. I assume that is the 'cheap' version?

The Egg Sword is a weak weapon with INSANE IP. THe Egg Ring, while IP-less, raises all stats to 999, except gut, which can only reach 199. Together, they're ridiculous.
And yes, it is the cheap version. The Egg Dragon has the most HP a variable could have on the SNES...but the programmers didn't think to (or maybe they did) prevent you from overhealing him, returning his HP to incredibly low numbers.
