Jim Greer Criticizes Obama's School Speech on "AC 360"

Republican Party of Florida chairman Jim Greer debates Roland Martin on "Anderson Cooper 360" over President Obama's scheduled speech to schoolchildren on Tuesday, September 8.

Cooper calls out Greer for having no proof that Obama is going to subject kids to learn about his plan to "justify government run healthcare".

"Right wingers, led by radio talk show hosts... want to find politics in everything," said Martin, who also argues that the Obama in-school speech is no different than "writing a letter to the First Lady" in class. "Presidents go to school all the time."

"You have made this a partisan issue," Greer tells Martin.

Its also amazing how, here once again, we have a leader on TV stating he does not support Governement Ran Healthcare. ANd I'm setting here thinking, he much have really good insurance. At least Obama has tried to help we the 40% of working Americans with kids and NO HEALTH INSURANCE! If the governemt cannot cover health, then polititions should cut their salary in half and donate it to uninsured citizens.........

I do not support Obama, never did. But who can attack his connecting with Kids across america? Keeping on track, getting homework done, setting goals? His role, Governement Role, teacher and student roles in education? What harm did it do? I think its sick to paint this a prop, or "hitler like" He did nothing but think about, consider, and plan and make a huge national pep talk to Americas kids. I did'nt hear a single wrong statement in what he said, and had no issues w/ my 4 teens listening.

The incredible hatred by the Republicans for the office of the President is astounding. After 8 years of the buffoon Bush, who made a mockery of that once honorable office, we have congressmen accusing the new President of saying things in a speech, he hasn't even given, with no evidence by Greer, other than a bald-faced lie. A made-up Far-Right rumor, to make our school kids pawns in their political battle.
