  • I love my AT 4033. It is 13 years old and is still my primary go-to mic. I like it best on female vocals but it also is great as drum OH, or to record an amp.

  • i bet its a licensed clone - probably from a European manufacturer like Philips. These brands did a lot of OEM deals at the time to fill gaps in thier R&D dept. One example of this was with Sony, where Hithcati made all of thier video recorders (VHS)

  • 4033 is softer - i like that
