Replace the entire cable. Heat the nipple of the carb side and reuse. If you cant reuse it, make your own nipple out of some brass round stock. My question to Connerb 1: I use 50/50 tin steel or 40/60, I haven't heard of using silver. Your thoughts?

  • My question is ..I have a throttle that completely fried half of the way down to the carb does anyone have an answer .. just to help out the bike unfortu was made in china and its 110 cc ..brand new oh yeah I live in florida .

  • the cable housing doesn't get hot. I apply heat only to the end where the copper wire is wrapped on it. You can use pliers as a heat sink on the cable if your afraid of damaging the outer housing.

  • that cable must get hot conducting heat from the torch. doesn't melt the sheath at all?

  • Thanks! Was wondering how you do this

  • I'll bet you would be a fun guy to work with. I need to do this to a cb750F supersport. I kind of tricked it out a bit and put some drag bars on and I'm getting a bit of binding in the cable casing....which really sucks.

  • I wish this was in HD to get a better look but thank you

  • get on there you "pig" lol

  • Thanks guys, that was great!
