They're really an addictive couple. Now that I've started making videos for them I'm starting to feel like I won't ever be able to stop.
So, with this video, I'm totally going out on a limb. It started with me thinking about what the Joker would do if he lost Harley - I mean, I'm not some sap who romanticizes him and thinks that he's, like, deeply emotionally invested in her or something, because that's totally against his character, particularly TDK Joker. But they're just together for so long and she's someone who he knows will always come back to him, no matter what, and no matter how demented or detached you are that feeling is something you'll get used to. But what if she didn't come back?
PLOT: Takes place at a point where Harley and Mr. J have been together for quite some time. The video opens during a robbery planned by the Joker, in which both he and Harley are participating. Towards the conclusion of the operation, one of the henchmen in on the job holds the Joker (in disguise) and Harley both at gunpoint, guessing (correctly) that the plan was to take him out at the end of the job. Harley giddily laughs, and after a gesture from the Joker she kills the rogue henchman. The two victoriously drive away in their commandeered school bus.
0:37-1:32 features a series of "happy" encounters with Harley and her puddin', the two of them acting psychotic, laughing together, tormenting people together, etc. etc. (I can't tell you how much fun I had doing this bit)
At 1:33, though, the Joker's bullying tendencies begin to kick in, eventually leading to him viciously beating Harley. When she speaks up about it later, accusing him of being selfish and taking everything from her, he calls her pathetic and orders her to leave. Harley begs him to reconsider, but the Joker has made up his mind, and Harley finds herself out on the streets.
Harley aimlessly wanders about Gotham, avoiding the authorities as best she can while being constantly plagued with memories of the Joker. She is completely listless without him, and even at her favorite place - the carnival, of course - she can't stop thinking about him.
Now, the next part can get sort of confusing, and I had a lot of trouble putting it together. The Joker and Batman are in something of a showdown on the streets of Gotham, and off-screen Harley sees this on the news and runs to the scene to help her puddin'. She arrives and tries to remain unseen as she tries to formulate a plan to help him, but when Batman opens fire on him Harley is hit in the crossfire. Batman wipes up and the Joker turns to see his little Harley Quinn dying on the pavement. He walks to her side and watches the life leave her, and in her final moments she remarks on how the end of everything is "kind of beautiful."
The aftermath of this shows the Joker going even more batshit-destructive than usual, wreaking as much havoc as he possibly can. Explosions, robberies, murders, the whole shebang - all the while with the memory of Harley in the back of his mind. At 3:58, when it goes back to black and white, we see sort of flashbacks of when Harley was alive and the good times they had together.
In the end, the maddened Joker - still laughing, as always - is finally apprehended by the police and taken into custody.

Song: "I Can Feel A Hot One," by Manchester Orchestra. It's sort of a romantic song for the two of them, and some of the lyrics don't really apply, but the beat of it and general idea are a pretty good fit for the video. In my opinion, anyway.
