If people come to Christ in repentance of mind, that is changing their unbelief in Christ to one of acceptance, of believing they're forgiven on account of His blood, well, I'm all for it. The problem is many evangelists, then and now, place burdens on sinners that they are incapable of doing anything about. A sinner isn't made righteous before God by cleaning up his act. Impossible. The method now is the same then. Called, justified, sanctified... all by Him, not of ourselves. Please read on...

If God was in Christ reconciling the world to Himself, and if after having done so He is no longer imputing sins and transgressions against man, Just what sins are we to repent of?
Look it up. You'll find it the Gospel of John 16. Jesus speaks of the Holy Ghost convicting the world of one sin only, in verse 9. To wit: "of sin, because they do not believe in Me."
Unbelief in Christ's atonement for your sins is what separates you from God. All this evangelizing over sins and cleaning up is... ?

@SoldierOfNational Rev. Phelps Sr? That man isnt driven by the Spirit of God, hes driven by hatred.
He also likes all the media attention. You cant even compare him to Billy Sunday. I agree that people
have to repent. God wants wants people to repent, because he doesnt want to punish them. We have to
preach the gospel in love. Protesting peoples funerals is just stupid and wrong.

Billy Sunday was a great man of God at those Godly days of America. In today's evil secular days,we got only one hope-the preachings of beloved rev.Fred Phelps Sr of Westboro Baptist Church who preaches the truth!
I had never actually read a sermon by Billy Sunday. Like many, I had heard that he was just another 'fire and brimstone" preacher. I was wrong. As I read his words transcribed by you, I was stunned by his ability to communicate the Gospel in a way that is both clear and easy to understand. Thank you for taking the time to bring to us the words of a man who was able to "Choose life" and then show others how to find the peace that he found. Truly a blessing.

@kafr8413 Thank you for the kind comment. Yes Billy Sunday has been greatly mis-characterized and his motives often misrepresented...well, just downright slandered by many who hated the Gospel message and did everything they could to besmirch his reputation. But when a person gets to know the real Billy Sunday they learn that here was a man God greatly used for His kingdom.God bless you friend and thanks again for watching.
