Basically updates, and some questions answered.

Sorry if I sound a bit tired and irritable--it's been a rough week.

Music is from Nightmare on Elm Street for the NES.

  • I just got done playing Silent Hill 3 It was really hard to get through but i love the walkthrough's you have. But I'm going to have to agree with you on the Silent Hill movie, didnt really do much for me either. Resident Evil Directores Cut Lets Play are awesome too! Have you ever played Tomb Raider? Idk if you would like it, but if you ever come across it you should try it. Hope you have a good week!

  • I never got into the series much in general, but I do enjoy TR2 and got through MOST of it (I find the precision jumping and such to be fun, even tho most people don't seem to like that aspect of it). I have TR3, but haven't played it yet--I keep thinking I'll play it after I beat TR2, but that never seems to happen =P

  • Well the reason to make it again in terms of Silent Hill 1 is the fact that it's very very hard to find copies or the original.

  • It can be downloaded on PS3 now.

Other than that, really my point was that it's fine the way it is and didn't need to have any changes made to it (I could have worded it better, probably).

  • I had an idea for a survival horror game a while ago where the character actually used parkor to escape monsters, lots of rolling, dodging, jumping, I thought it would be cool ^^

I like watching both your LPs and The Game Den so I'm happy XD

  • Makes me think of Mirror's Edge, but probably not so acrobatic, I'm guessing. I could see that working.

I still prefer to kill monsters, tho =P

  • I thinkthats the problem with most of todays games. RPG are no longer allowed to be RPGs... they need to be ACTION RPGs so that all the God of War and Devil may cry fans out there would consider buying the new Final Fantasy. Survival Horror games become Action Shooters because using ammo wisely is no fun at all (sarcasm) and the list continues. SH Homecoming is the best example.

  • A franchise does not need to be reinvented... I think thats true. Because... how should i put it without getting flamed (lol)... I cant stand the way of mixing all the different video game genres to one huge... thingy only so just more people would by it. basically what I mean is if you hate survival horror games and love to play DMC-like action games. than go and play DMC but not expect the survival horro genre to adapt.

  • @gotart1234 yea pretty good my only problem with it is it shouldent be a remake it has its own story i dont get why thay have the same names as the characters in silent hill one i know it was a re imagining but it really didnt have to be it was a stand alone story

one of the things i liked about it was that it didnt keep referenceing former glorys from earlyer games in the series like silent hill homecoming

  • Yeahh TR2 is alot of fun, im a big fan i have been since i was like five xD But the best TR games are prolly Tomb Raider Legend & Anniversary I like them cause there is a lot more puzzles and adverntue. Thanks for responding! ^-^

  • silent hill shattered memories is actually suprisingly good.

  • lol isnt that the nes elm strret song lol

  • I think by gameplay mechanics, people need to learn that controls are only an aspect of gameplay. Goals have always been from initial plot of a game and ain't recent.

From JungleHunt, Clue or Pitfall, it is the goal & game, this scenario. Back in the day it had been only one primitave goal or objective with obstacles. Now for veriety it is more then one due to technology.

Story is all events and actions while narative is only the story telling action. People tend to overcomplicate this.

  • I mean they could have done a real remake to enhance the roughness of the ps1 day content abit like lines by re-inventing them with the core intent and subjects of conversation within.

My opinion on it is that it's fine to have a remastered edition like re-armed, but they take it as a film here. They could have added new areas and all that stuff along with the old if they wanted.

I always wished they enhanced it since ps2 graphics came, but i'm not overly about the gfx either
