okay now I am sure of it. You just take the pins to remove the stock as if you were taking the battery out and then there are screws on it to take off the stock. I have done it before. You then put the metal piece back in the gun and the stock isn't there anymore. I only like the folding stock because it makes it easy to put in a backpack.

You could put .12g bbs through it regardless of the hopup. Im not saying that you should though. and yes its safe to use a 9.6v battery, theres just no room unless you mod it.
