Another Ney Improv

Me fooling around with Persian Ney. Let me be perfectly clear, this is NOT traditional Persian music, nor am I a competent Ney player. I am just fooling around having fun. Thanks

Hi, best to visit "persianney"'s website for more info on this. It is impossible except by x-ray to see how the embrochure works because the tip of the ney is inside the mouth. Basically the sound is made using the same mechanics as a Turkish or Arabic Ney except that they breathe it outside of the mouth and Persian is inside of the mouth, using the tongue.

If you breathe harder/firmer the vibration in the flute goes higher and you get the higher sound. One way is to simply "blow" as hard as you can. I have been told that the size of the flute effects how easy it is to play low or high.

how do you change the tone from deep sound to sharp sound please help....by the way not bad!
