yea, that would be great to see him destroy his fiberglass body because of a tire that has exploded and gone through the fender...
Kids these days just have no idea.

I love how I see 3 generations of corvettes in this video!

@jeepers2655 there never was a Corvette sold to the public in 1983 or did you mean that you hate the fact that there never was an '83 Corvette.

Better engine.. No, not really, the only reason that 427's were considered better is due to the fact that they ran on high compression valves and were powered by leaded gasoline, I don't think many 454's got the chance to taste unleaded and had high compression engine dressings. The only one that comes to mind are the LS-6's but, I don't know much about their performance numbers. if you were to put your L71 engine components on a 454 you'll be in for a ride!

In '77 I bought a '66 coupe that was originally a 427-425, 4-spd, 3:70 rear, but had been replaced with a 327-365 (with small block radiator and steel shroud, overflow tank, etc.) after handgrenading the engine (former owner). I always wanted to at least return the car to a big block with BB radiator, etc. I didn't care about matching numbers so I would have gone to a 454 or 502, etc., just for addtional torque, but wound up with a 350-350 after I handgrenaded the 327.

It was a 427 originally, and was replaced at some point with a 454.

why replace the ORIGINAL 427ci... with a 454? =/
the 427 is so much better, my aunts got a matching #'s '67 with a 427ci/435hp big block

The original motor was long gone before I bought the car, and had the 454 in it. Your aunt has a very nice car indeed.
